Pirates of Borneo commenced trading during 2007 at Jesseleton point, where they operated Pirate Cruises, before moving to  the more popular Kota Kinabalu waterfront.  Pirates of Borneo initially set up operations .in the former Atlantis Restaurant where they built the Pirates Bar which became the most successful venue on the waterfront but was demolished on 11th  May 2008 when Pirates of Borneo transferred  to the Aussie Bar

Barcelona Tapas and Cava in Warisan Square, across the road from the Kota Kinabalu Waterfront was taken over by Pirates Of Borneo on 1st April. This intimate Spanish style restaurant is open from 1030 AM to 11PM

Pitbull returned to the Aussia Bar on Kota Kinabalu Waterfront and they had a full house on Thursday, when War Veterans decided to spend their last night in the bar before returning home. Pirates of Borneo along with with other outlets on Kota Kinabalu Waterfront were blacked out when Kota Kinabalu suffered a major electrical breakdown. It is ironic that this occurred on the eve of Earth day. Traffic was in chaos with no street lights and traffic lights non operational. Candle light was the only source of power unless there was access to private generators. Its suggested that the city has advanced too quickly without ensuring that essential infrastructure was put in place first. .. .. read more..
